Hutchinson Worldwide® and its subsidiary Hutchinson Santé are currently pursuing a pro-active R&D policy in order to create new product lines in response of our customers' needs.

The development of G-VIR® has required more than 10 years of development by Hutchinson's multidisciplinary, corporate research groups in partnership with university researchers – (partly sponsored by the European Union's BIOMED program.

The technological innovations involved in the manufacture of the G-VIR® glove have led to the filing of several European or worldwide patent applications.

The claims made for the G-VIR® glove in the event of perforation with a hollow needle, are demonstrated by specific tests .

With our constant drive to stay at the forefront of innovation in order to better serve our customers, research currently in progress aims to broaden out the G-VIR® range and to extend the triple layer concept to other applications.
