G-VIR®'s novel three-layer structure reinforces the
barrier effect between the wearer and the exterior.
When the glove is undamaged, the synthetic outer layer acts
as impermeable barriers to viruses and other pathogens (evaluated
according to the ASTM 1671-97 standard).
If, despite the mechanical resistance of the material, the
glove undergoes unnotuced damage (for example in the event
of micro-perforations which destroy the barrier's integrity),
the disinfectant included in the middle layer reduces the
transmitted viral load.
The G-VIR® glove reduces viral load transmitted to the wearer
by a sharp or perforating object (scalpels, needles, etc.)
during percutaneous injuries.
The glove design including the dynamic barrier concept to
allow the expulsion of disinfecting
agent onto the object which pierces the glove.
The system even acts on the soiled object before it penetrates
the wearer's skin! The disinfecting agent shows quick efficacy
, i.e. compatible with often the Blood Exposure Accident very
short disinfectant-virus contact times.
The G-VIR® glove is made out of synthetic materials which do
not contain either natural latex nor chemicals such as vulcanizing
agents and accelerators (e.g. thiurams, dithiocarbamates,
thiazoles and thioureas) known to have sensitizing properties.
The inner layer of the glove is lined with a powder-free donning
layer (conforms to ASTM D-6124 00).
